for the serious business of life.

We are delighted to announce our Head of Advice Delivery Alistair Cartwright has landed a top financial industry award.

He has been named Paraplanner of the Year (In House) in the prestigious Professional Paraplanner Awards 2020.

There was a record number of entries to recognise the expertise of paraplanning, indicating a highly competitive field in the national awards this year

Alistair triumphed in a shortlist featuring Daniel Willers from Robertson Baxter and Jacqui Beesley at Cooper Parry Wealth.

He began his career in paraplanning in 2013 before moving to Clarion Wealth Planning two years ago and becoming Head of Advice Delivery in February this year. 2020 had already proved a big year for Alistair as he also achieved Chartered Financial Planner status and became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Alistair said: “For me professionally, 2020 has already been a great year, but winning this award has topped my achievements to date. It has been something that I have aspired to achieve and I am so happy and proud to have won the award.

“I have to thank Ron, Adam and the rest of the team at Clarion for their guidance and support and for helping me become the paraplanner that I am today. My goals now are to help Clarion continue to grow and most importantly help clients achieve their goals and objectives, which is core to Clarion and how we work.”

Ron Walker, Clarion Wealth Planning founder, said: “Many congratulations to Alistair. Talent is in abundance at Clarion and at the forefront of everything we do.

“Not many years ago, our now director of operations Adam Wareing was Paraplanner of the Year. Jacob Hartley, who joined Clarion a year ago, is the youngest ever Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

“And now Alistair has also been named Paraplanner of the Year for 2020.

“These achievements are down to dedication and hard work and are typical of the culture at Clarion and the high standards we set for our people. They really care about our clients and want the very best outcomes. It is a real pleasure and privilege to work with them.”

The results were announced on the Professional Paraplanner website on Thursday, June 18,  as the usual awards ceremony in London was not held due to the on Covid-19 restrictions.
