We are delighted to become official sponsors of an under-sevens grassroots football squad.

Our new sponsorship deal with Ashton on Mersey Football Club means the under-sevens have been able to score a new kit for the whole section totalling 40 kids.

Director of operations at Clarion, Adam Wareing, who also volunteers as the club secretary at Ashton, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor the under-sevens section. It is important to support community sports and the sponsorship will allow the club to use their own funds to improve facilities, purchase equipment and support their coaches”

It is the first time the club has had a whole age group section sponsored by the same company –and they would be delighted for more companies or entrepreneurs to step forward to show their support, as the club has 400 members from under-fives to adults.

Will Blandamer, chairman of Ashton On Mersey Football club, said: “A lot of grassroots clubs struggle with gaining sponsorship, but it plays a very important part in helping with kits and equipment, so gaining it takes off some of the pressure.

“We would like to say a big thanks from the club, children and parents to all at Clarion for the support they have given financially and an even bigger thanks to Adam for all the time he volunteers with the club.

“Almost everyone at the club is a volunteer – and without sponsorship and volunteers, grassroots clubs would not exist. Working together with companies as a whole community means we give our local children a chance to have a hobby and safe place to grow.”
