Meet Sam Petts

What is your role at Clarion?

Financial Planner and Clarion Investment Committee member

How did you take your first steps in to Financial Planning?

I joined a busy financial planning practice in the heart of Mayfair following a successful work placement as part of my degree. They specialised in assisting high-net-worth individuals which included some celebrity clients.

What do you think Clarion offers its clients that makes us unique?

The all-round care and attention placed on our clients to ensure a great job is always done for them. We always strive to achieve the best outcomes for our clients to meet their needs.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learnt in your role?

Always put the best interests of the client first and deliver a first class service.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Geologist, I studied A-Level Geography as a result but then the Maths and Economics side of things won over and I followed that career path instead.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

My parents and family always offering me support.

What keeps you awake at night?

It used to be my kids, but they are a little bit older now so I’m sleeping through the night! Otherwise, I’m relatively relaxed about most things.

Describe your perfect weekend

Family and friends BBQ in our garden, watching all the kids running around and enjoying the summer weather.

Spring, summer, autumn or winter?

Definitely summer, longer evenings to enjoy after work. Also, it is the cricket season which I love to watch both locally as well as at Lancashire and Lords.
