for the serious business of life.

We are proud to announce the appointment of two new directors to our board.

John Winstanley and Matt Sherratt joined our board of directors this month. John, 33, from Knutsford, takes up the role of business development director while Matt becomes finance director.

Clarion CEO Ron Walker said: “We are proud to welcome our two new directors. We are investing in the long-term future of Clarion Wealth Planning appointing John and Matt. The expertise they bring to the board will round out our leadership team and our commitment to true lifelong financial planning for our clients.”

John, a financial planner, specialises in advising business owners on tax-efficient investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning. He has worked in financial services since 2004, beginning his advisory career in 2007 at Lloyds and joined Clarion in February 2019, having previously worked as an Independent Financial Adviser for large regional firm in Manchester.

John said: “I am looking forward to the additional challenge this role will bring and I am proud to have been asked to play an influential role in Clarion’s future.”

As finance manager, Matt Sherratt oversees all finance and accounting here at Clarion. He has been with us since 2015. Matt, 41, from Cheddleton, Staffordshire, is a Chartered accountant and has worked in the financial services industry for 15 years, notably as finance manager for the Co-operative Banking Group.

Matt said: “I am delighted to accept this position and to be given the opportunity to further contribute to an exciting future for Clarion. I am proud of the progress we have made and look forward to helping the company achieve its goals and providing a quality service to our clients.”
